I am going to be switching to a Windows 10 phone at the end of the year from Android. Is there any chance that a Windows phone app will be available by then? Does anyone else want this as an option?
Plenty of people want this an an option (including me). But unfortunately it seams our requests are falling on deaf ears. Below are the two threads I know of that request a Windows Phone app, neither of which have any sort of official reply. I would say that you can add your voice not only here, but also through their suggestion form here. The more noise we make, I would think they will eventually here us.
This one currently has 43 replies and 2774 views. This one has 176 replies and 27,743 views.
It is pretty poor that one of those threads has been going on for over 2 years and all Garmin say is "We don't support Windows Phone". In that time they could have got an intern to port the application over to Windows Phone.
But what is worse is that no Garmin staff have gone onto those forums and said anything. It's a bit like British Rail in a crisis.
And of course in all their advertising material when the never clearly mention that their devices do not work with Windows Phone.
I'm going to start Tweeting with a hashtag of #GarminRespectWindowsPhone - at least if it starts trending then they cannot ignore the issue.
