Unable to download goals to my Forerunner 410

Hi there. I have set goals in the past and been able to send them to my watch using the button at the bottom of the active goals page. I have ensured that the goals are set for Any Activity. But the button does not seem to be there anymore. I have a Mac with chrome browser. I have also tried using Safari as a browser and nothing has changed. I have also tried using both Garmin Express and Ant Agent.

Any ideas on how I can resolve this? IS this something anyone has encountered before?

I've never been able to send goals to my device (a 610) as it does not support them as far as I know. I did not realise that the 410 supported goals either - but have never seen the button for sending goals - unless I am being dumb (which is quite possible). Would be interested to hear if this can be done.

Hi there - I know it can be done, I have done it on a number of occasions in the past. For some reason, the Send Goals button is nowhere to be seen now! It's got me stumped!

I could do this with my Forerunner 410 with the old software. The new Garmin Express seems to be the problem, i guess.

This is what I did.

I uninstall Garmin Express. Install back:
1. ANT Agent software version 2.3.4 download
2. Communicator Plugin software version 4.2.0 download

I am using Windows 8.1 pro with Chrome ver 42.0.2311.135m. The Communicator Plugin test page here keeps telling me that "Your system does not support Communicator Plugin.". I thus uninstall it.

Somehow, it works! Without the Communicator Plugin, I am still able to transfer my data to Garmin Connect. And I am able to get the Goal down to my Forerunner 410.

While the Communicator Plugin is supposed to be the software that upload the training data to Garmin Connect, it seems that the ANT Agent software is sufficient to do that. So, I am not too sure if the Communicator Plugin is required. Try it out.

Most important is, I have my goals in my Forerunner 410 now. :)
