How to edit nap time fields in GC?

Former Member
Former Member
Pls. forgive this 1st post & possibly noob Q. (preceded by probably too much reading/searching across the Garmin Connect forums :( )...

When I take the Sleep Dashboard component to Full Page in Connect, the sleep time fields are editable but the nap time fields apparently are not; is there a way to edit nap time here that I'm not seeing, or elsewhere? Thanks!
  • I am also interested in editing nap time !!. With 920XT it is filled automatically, but sometimes I need to do it manually and I can not find how to do it at the moment...

Fwiw JANDERCITO et al., this is the reply I got from Support (not ideal, but at least it's an answer):

"Nap data cannot be edited like sleep data can be. The device has to be put in "sleep mode" when you take a nap throughout the day."
  • That's what I usually do, but sometimes you don't remember to activate "sleep mode" during nap time, and the only thing you can do in that case is to increase night sleep time to have an accurate account of the whole day.

And that is just silly! Why treat naps different? If I am awake during the night(small children) there is no way to show this on Connect, If I edit the sleep cycle I end up with one very short or too long sleep sequence. Data is wrong/useless and sleep tracking is basically broken as it is today.

Its a no brainer to fix this and its sad that its been broken for so long. I should be able to edit my sleep regardless of time of day and how many naps I take. Garmin should name the longest cycle sleep and the rest naps.

    Just fix it
  • It treats naps different so it isn't counting any time you put the watch of your wrist to work/wash your hands as a nap.
