I have had the Garmin 610 for quite some time now and I must admit that I quite like. Due to some issues with the device because of the heavy use through the years, I decided to buy the Garmin 620 the other day. I was now doing the set up and I could not find the "Workouts -> Custom" option to create, for example, a 6x800m (2min rec) + 4x1000m (2min rec) training. I see an "Interval" option, but this only allows for series of the same distance/time (e.g a 5x1000m series training)
I went online and it seems that, to create such training I need to first crate it using Garmin Connect and then send it to the device through Garmin Express, and I am wondering...really? I constantly use this feauture in the Garmin 610, so it´ll be a major let down if I have to go throug the computer every time. Sometimes, you are just up for a quick speed training and you want to be able to plan it quickly in the device or even have to correct/change it on the run!
So I guess my doubt/question is: can one create AND edit a workout such as the one described up there (800m + 1km series) in the device (Forerunner 620) itself? or is it my only option to go through Garmin connect?
