All these issues that keep occurring is getting pretty frustrating.
  • Have you checked for spaces in your user name as suggested above?
  • It is not an Apple problem. It is not an internet problem.

Your request is making it to Garmin servers, but they are rejecting you. It may be an issue with either their servers or their CDN, Akamai.

Thanks for this information. Do you happen to have any suggestions as to how this problem could be fixed. I have tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to work. Very frustrating. Many thanks in advance.
  • There is nothing we can do. It is 100% in Garmin's hands. I have handed over many screenshots, trace routes, pings, and other diagnostic information. The key is to get this escalated out of support and into their engineering.

Thanks - do you think posting something about this issue on their Facebook site would do any good? When I called Garmin support they seemed ignorant of this ongoing issue and led me to believe the problem was on my end. I use their site a good deal deal and I am finding this situation very frustrating.
  • 25 year old marketing interns run companies' social media pages. I'm highly doubtful posting anything there will be seen by anyone who can help.

But what the hell. Can't hurt.

I think I'll give it a shot. This is getting bad. Thanks for your insights.
  • Letter I just sent to Garmin support:

I have discovered how to reproduce the issue.

Please note: you will likely have to run this test outside your company's networks. My hypothesis is that sudden, frequent activity (even if it's not really that sudden nor frequent) might be triggering a defense response in your servers.

    To reproduce the issue:

Log into my account. Go to any "Today" activity. Hit the "Previous Day" icon indicated by "<" in rapid succession two or three times. Then hit "Page Reload" in your browser. 100% of the time, this locks every computer, phone, and tablet out of connect.garmin.com on my IP Address for a period of time. I'm guessing an hour, but it may be longer.

If I switch IP addresses or networks, I can reconnect. Unless i do anything too sudden, and then I get booted again.

The way I can keep from getting locked out, is to wait 10 seconds between every button click. Sometimes, links don't work on pages, and then, instead of hitting "Page Reload", I am careful to "Open Link in New Window." Again, not too fast.

This might be part of some kinda overreactive DDOS protection system. Just a thought.

    Please keep me informed.
  • Waiting , waiting, waiting for a solution, no spaces in my user name, load, reload, pc, movile, tablet........always the same, access denied......desperate. I'll start using SpotTrack, the only solution. :(
  • steve jobs would never let this happen so frequently
