Workouts no longer sending to device (800)

I've been using the workout feature on Garmin Connect and sending them to my 800 with no problems, until today. I created a new workout and now when I pressed "Send to Device", the device was found but then it will not progress beyond hanging on the "Preparing workout ..." screen. I have restarted Garmin Connect, reinstalled Garmin Express and restarted my computer (Macbook). All out of ideas. Can anyone help please?
