Get averages for range selected on a timeline

"Often on a run I will have areas (laps, maybe end sprints, maybe downhill, etc) where I would like to know what my average speed, heart rate, etc are for just for a range in time. It would be nice on any of the graphs you could select a range of time and get the average for that selection. "

Actually this request was posted on 2011, but i found that it seems that there wasn't any change, and specially now on the new version of the Garmin connect.

Or if it does, can any body teach me how is it done. I was able to select the range but no other date appear.

So please, if it is possible to follow up, cos it actually is not a big thing to do since all other competitor have it as a basic feature.

  • Average tempo on zoom

    +1 on this feature.

I am also sometimes interested in knowing the average tempo for a part of the exercise.
The zoom function is excellent but it would be great if the "average tempo" indication followed the zoom instead of showing the total run.
If you are doing intervals or fartlek the average of the complete exercise is not interesting.
