How do you get older workouts stored on Forerunner 910XT to Connect

I have an issue where some of the workouts I have stored on my forerunner are not syncing with Garmin Connect. When I do a new workout and it saves to connect I can't get it to recognize the older workout. It seems the tool looks at the latest workout when syncing and does not sync all the existing workouts on the forerunner. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get connect to sync all the workouts on the forerunner? Thank you
