What about *.FIT files?

I have forerunner 310 XT, windows seven, updated Garman express.
Finals are stored under C:\program data\diamond\\\uploads.
Is there a program that will read the *.FIT Files or convert them to PC readable state?
Is there a procedure to force those files to upload to Garman connect?
Thank you for any assistance.

For reading .fit files on your PC, you can import into BaseCamp, or use TCX Converter if you want to do conversions.

Is Basecamp downloadable to Win7? Where can I find Basecamp?
