I have data stuck on my 910XT from early January (3rd/4th/5th) data from before that date and after that date has all uploaded to Garmin connect. This data is all present on the watch in my history files but I can't find a way to upload it. With the old view you can view of Garmin connect you can view and upload specific files I can't find this functionality in the new version of Garmin connect.
I have the same problem with a "stuck" file on my 910XT from that January 4th week end that failed to upload properly and will not upload now that allegedly the problem has been fixed (although ironically today there is another non-uploading glitch at the GC servers.)
Coming back to our common January 3-5 data, I was unaware that with the old view you could view and upload specific files. I still have the old view as well as the new view. I can't remember how I got to have both, so I can't help you there. But maybe you can help me how you view and unload specific files on the 910XT or indeed other devices. (I may well need to do this for my Edge 500 if the workout recorded on it is still stuck when the GC servers come online again).

Switch to Classic view (old view): Click the profile icon (along the left vertical bar), select "Switch to Classic Temporarily." Switch to Modern: Click the "Switch to Modern" link on top of the Classic page.
Having the same problem with an activity from today. I got home and it started transferring when I walked in the door. Luckily I noticed it, because I often walk out of range (my computer is upstairs) in the middle and it shuts down my watch. So I walked upstairs and put the watch next to the computer. I came back a few minutes later and the watch was still on, and was in the 1st page of my screens (I was using the 2nd page during this activity). That usually tells me that it worked out alright. But it was nowhere to be found in GC.
So I went and did sync a couple of times, and got the notification that everything was sync'd and I could find my activity at Garmin connect (using a Mac, I get that in the notification center). Went and refreshed the GC (modern) page and it wasn't there. Went through the process again and had the same results. So I went to the classic view to do the single activity upload, but when I chose that option it just hung trying to read the activities on my watch. I'm assuming this is because I've removed the old plugin for uploading manually now that GC was finally(?) working.
How can I (and those having the same problem in this thread) upload an activity from my 910 to GC that Garmin Express doesn't recognize during a sync?
