Setting Data fields on a computer

I'd like to see the website or the Garmin Express application support setting up the data fields that display on my watch. This would be so much easier than having to navigate with the up and down arrows on the watch and then hoping you like the result. You could easily set up the watch and then send that configuration to the watch.

Which device do you have? Some allow some customization of the data displayed already (by way of the device itself or Garmin Connect.)

it's a good idea. Not heard of any device that can have the data screens set other than from the device, but it would be useful. Still, I only set them once so it's no major. Nice to have of course.

I'd like to revive this idea. I agree that getting them set up once and then leaving them alone is USUALLY the way it's done, but the initial setup is still a pain. Plus I sometimes like the idea of tweaking things from time to time. So please Garmin, let's see if we can get this one done!

I would also apreciate this for other settings than just the data fields. Setting settings on a small watch (even if it's big for a watch) is a real pain (in terms of first world problems)!

Some of the newer watches do this now from the Garmin Connect Mobile app. For example, with my epix Gen 2 watch I can configure all of it from my phone.
