MyFitnessPal syncing with GC, but activies are now posting to MFP twice

So....I'm very happy that GC has fixed the syncing issues with MFP. And it has been fine for the past couple of weeks...up until a couple of days ago, when it started posting activities to MFP twice (if there are multiple activities being synced at the same time - ie a bike/run brick - only the first activity posts to MFP twice). Activities are only posting to Strava and MapMyRun once, so it appears to be strictly a GC/MFP issue.

Just wanted to make the GC folks aware.
  • Do you have another app like Strava also syncing to MFP? I had this problem and noticed both GC and Strava where syncing to MFP creating double uploads!
  • No...once I got a garmin (in may), I stopped other apps from syncing to MFP...the only app that syncs to MFP is GC. I do use Strava, and have GC linked to it...but Strava itself is not linked to MFP (and never has been).

And it seems to be random. ie - friday I did a lifting workout - that transferred to MFP twice....yesterday, I ran in the morning and did abs in the evening - synced both in the evening, and both only synced to MFP once....then tonight, I did a lifting workout and an abs workout, and when I synced, the abs workout came over twice, but lifting workout only came over once.
  • And it seems that weight is no longer syncing to MFP. Blargh.

I found this out as well. It happened when I manually logged activity to MFP, it then synced those activities to GC (great) and then synced them back to MFP (not great) thereby doubling my calorie burn. This has not happened when activity is recorded or logged into GC first and then syncs to MFP
  • That is true...that happens. But in relation to the issue I'm talking about, it is WRONG. I ONLY log my activities on my garmin device and syncing my device with GC....which then syncs to MFP. I do NOT log ANY activities manually in MFP (or in GC for that matter) - I use my 920XT for ALL activities. GC is randomly sending some activities to MFP twice.

And for the record...my weight finally synced to MFP yesterday, but I had to manually sync GC/MFP on the Calories In/Out tab in GC before it would go over to MFP.
