Garmin Connect Steps and Report Gadgets Incorrect

Hi There:

For ages now, my daily steps are not recording on my Connect in the "steps" gadget. It just keeps listing me as 0%. This is odd, because my Garmin VivoSmart recognises my steps and adjusts my goals appropriately, and also because the step challenges that I'm in sync up to what my VivoSmart is saying.

Also, my report of activity over time, where a little graph shows if you're meeting your goals or not, is even more screwed up. For instance: so far today I have completed just over 5 000 steps. The Step Tracker says I have done none, and the Report says I have done just over 2 000...neither is accurate!! The only accurate one is my challenge report.

What is happening?!?!?!?!

  • right after you sync, not all your widgets have the current value when you refresh. This is how it works. It might take a couple minutes for the data to be reflected in all of them.

    If your data doesn't look right, wait a few minutes and refresh, as you are hitting the Garmin servers when they are really busy. But your data is there...

    No, this isn't an issue of waiting. I've refreshed and synced and waited and synced again multiple times and my step count never updates anymore. I saw today that after three syncs it will updated my widget with the graph, but the basic one that has the circle to show how much of your steps you've done no longer updates for me.
