Tracking steps in Garmin Connect with Forerunner 620 & Vivosmart

I have a Garmin Connect account, a Garmin Forerunner 620 and a Garmin Vivosmart. My Vivosmart tracks my steps and displays them in Garmin Connect for me to see. The Garmin Forerunner also tracks number of steps (when I run) but the data isn't loaded to the Garmin Connect dashboard. I don't wear my Vivosmart when I run but I would like to see my total steps for the day. Is there a setting I am missing or is the functionality to pull steps from my Forerunner 620 into the Garmin Connect Dashboard for steps wigit not available?

I have the same Question an Garmin.
I use the Forerunner 620 and the Vivoactive.
    wearing both devices looks dumb.
I wish the vivoactive could read the HRM belt from the 620.
or Can I add steps from the 620 to the Vivoactive counter?

I need the running dynamics from my 620, but the daily use of the Vivoactive is awesome! Unfortunaltly the Vivoactive does not record the running dynamics.

    can anyone help?
