can not edit activity in modern

Hello,

I am new to the forums and have tried to find guidance on this problem without luck, so please excuse me if this has been raised previously.

I bought a fenix 2 recently and am really happy with the device. Using the old Garmin Connect site I could edit the data. Specifically I ride indoors a lot over the winter months on an Expresso machine and was able to enter data such as distance and power and cadence using the full edit option. In the past week using the newer Garmin Connect site, I can do a quick edit allowing me to describe the activity, but when I click on the full edit pencil icon on the right top of the screen all that happens is that a blue circle hourglass icon appears. That icon does not clear and I am unable to edit the data. I appreciate Garmin are having some issues currently and perhaps that is the reason - is anyone else having the same issues?

It works for me. I just tried editing an old activity on the modern GC and added power numbers. Also, I added an activity manually and it worked too.

One thing you might try is clearing out the cache on your browser. Though I give that a 50/50 chance of solving the issue.

It wasn't working for a few days but was fixed by Friday morning. Today, Connect is up and down all morning so far so I'm thinking anything will be difficult until it's back to normal.

It works for me. I just tried editing an old activity on the modern GC and added power numbers. Also, I added an activity manually and it worked too.

One thing you might try is clearing out the cache on your browser. Though I give that a 50/50 chance of solving the issue.

I'm also having the same problem - have been for about two weeks. I've tried clearing my cache, restarting PC and browser and still no joy. I just get the blue circle.
No problem editing in Classic. Strange

can not edit activity in modern

Hi -- I am unable to edit an activity in modern - when I click the edit button, it gets stuck and won't proceed to the edit page. Seems to come and go, but most of the time these days it won't go to the edit page. I can edit in classic, but would rather just stay in modern.

Any insight? I'm using windows 7 and chrome.

Probably a chrome/browser issue, it's working fine in IE. Perhaps check your browser settings and/or any ad blockers etc.

I am having same problem and have for several days now. I've tried 3 different computers and IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. I believe it is related to Garmin's recent "issues with Garmin Connect". Has anyone found a solution yet, or heard from anyone at Garmin? Thanks!

I don't think any of us will find a solution. It's really at Garmin's end.

I was having the same issue in Safari after GPS wouldn't track for a run yesterday. Thanks for posting the workaround to switch back to classic, chirogreg. That worked!

Classic works for single sport activities, but not Multi-Sport activities. When trying to edit a multi-sport activity in Classic it loads it up in Modern nd then any attempts to edit lead to that darn spinning disk cursor.

Come on Garmin! I was really liking the multi-sport function that was recently released on the Connect site. Please fix the edit ability as soon as you can AND try to do a sounder/complete job of functionality QC before releasing new things.

Still a devoted Garmin fan, but frustrated...
