Import from strava

when I import a GPX file from Strava the distance is only 0.2 or 0.1 km's why is this and how do I correct it?

This bug is going for almost 5 weeks now - it seems it was introduced when a new GC version was released in Dec 2014. (I rather put the year in as well as one never know... ;) )
