I'm tired of Garmin connect not working, but I love how it tracks things. Everything from goals, to the calendar, and the data is really well-displayed too. Are there any other programs out there that show data like Garmin connect? Anything would be preferable to nothing. Just something I can take data from my 620 and upload it to see the things Garmin connect shows. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Strava is good, as is RunningAhead.com although the latter is lagging a bit due to it being the work of one developer. Best training plan setup i've seen yet though.
Look at Tapiriik for syncing your data from Garmin to other platforms, see who they support, then explore those platforms. Tapiriik will also sync .TCX files out to Dropbox for you to keep an archive of workouts should you later change platforms.
In the past few I've not had any issues with Garmin Connect, but I also haven't dug around into it a whole lot so there may be smaller pieces not working that I've just not encountered. Workouts upload just fine and the activity detail page seems just fine for me. YMMV of course, as that could easily be time of day dependent and/or subject to issues within content delivery networks.
What is not working for you - I'm aware that there are various bugs in Connect but for me it fundamentally is a good tool - just a shame that Garmin have got distracted by too much and taken their eye off the ball. I use Garmin connect classic and find it generally quite good. I also use Strava but to be honest the Strava free version doesn't do much that connect doesn't do and it does other things less well (particularly accuracy of pacing and mapping). It offers a better implementation of segments etc but they are not core to me - just a fun feature. What particular issues have you got with connect that make you want to ditch it?
