History of personal records

I would love to have a history of my personal records (i.e., I want to be able to see my current best and the 2-4 previous) so that I can evaluate my progress at a glance and compare the routes. Maybe even have an option to select a route or difficulty level to be assigned to a personal best and then be able to select an activity to be rescanned for a personal best for a particular route or difficulty level. Also, I would like to be able to void a record and replace it with the previous as sometime I forget to turn off my watch and the end of my run registers the first few minutes of my car ride and skews the results. Occasionally I forget to reject it and then I have to manually enter the previous record, but I don't always remember the exact value.

How do we know that someone at Garmin is seeing our feature requests? I have observed a history of similar requests for the last year, but nothing has been improved

And this is a request that probably less than .01% of garmin connect users think would be useful. The whole idea of a PR is that it shows your best, and gives a date. Why would I want to see a history of when I got "fastest mile", for example. I just want to know what my best is, and try to beat that.

I like the idea of a history of personal records. This would also be useful to older users to allow them to save a PR as historical, clear the "current" PR, and then achieve a PR for a new age or age group. In short, allow someone to have a 5k PR while running in the 40-44 age group, the 45-49 age group, the 50-54 AG, etc.

I assume you must run in a very set environment then. I personally want to know my best in the diverse set of environments that I run in because each of these environments challenges me in different ways and I know that my best "uphill run" will be slower than my best "flat run." A history is also nice because you can monitor your progress. For example, I set a best time almost every time I ran for a month, then leveled off and didn't set another best for two months. Knowing the time I shaved off each would be good, plus I can compare my current times to the historic times to see how my current times compared to my times during that month of rapid change. If you don't have anything positive to say, why respond, especially with a likely very inaccurate estimate of the users interested in this request.
  • This is a good idea to add utility to the Personal Records feature.

Would love this feature - just have it give lifetime and by age option - ie you get a new blank set of PRs every year for your birthday.
