How to manually extract activity data from 910XT and load to Garmin Connect?

With the outage at GC I seem to have lost the data I uploaded. During the outage I uploaded an activity (using USB and Garmin Express) and was told it was successfully synced. But the activity was not found in my GC account. I have waited 2 days and the activity is not there. I have retried to upload several times but the same result happens. This exact same thing happened in November 2, 2014; I never managed to find the loaded data.

On this occasion I can see the (Sunday January 4th) activity in History on my 910XT. Is there a way to extract this activity data and manually paste it into GC?

This exact thing just happened to me today with my 910XT. I uploaded an awesome 15 mile trail run only to find Garmin Connect down and once it was back up my run was not there. Oh the madness! (lol seriously it made me crazy!) I tried resyncing but I think the watch considered it done and uploaded. In playing with the watch, I accidentally turned on Transfer All under the History Menu and this worked. It took about an hour but thankfully none of the older runs were duplicated and my new one appeared. Good luck! I use Strava and manually entered runs don't count for anything so I really really wanted that run transferred! In the "classic" version of Garmin, you could hit upload and it would check to see unloaded activities. It would be great to have that feature back. Good Luck!!! BTW I see no way to turn off Transfer All off on my watch. That is the issue I need to figure out next. Off to search FAQs.

I didn't know "Transfer All" even existed. Thanks, I'll use it. Far better than figuring out how to extract and upload specific files and having to learn file formats etc. I am not worried about duplicating old runs or bike rides. I think GC and the 910 communicate with each other and know what has already been successfully uploaded (as opposed to Garmin express acknowledging the upload procedure, but Garmin Connect not receiving the file). And if it does happen what's the worst thing -- a bunch of duplicated files, one of which will have notes that I put in when first uploaded -- so I delete the other one.
