For the last week during the cold weather periods, I've been using the new Sports Pavilion in Lawrence and using its indoor track. My Oregon 400t doesn't get a signal inside the building so I record my distance and time and load the data manually - up until middle of last week. Now when I click on the + Manual Activity link, it does nothing in the modern version. Today I tried the Classic Activities and it worked fine there. I previously worked on Modern but not for the last week to 10 days.
I am in the same boat as OP. Manual Add in Modern does not work for the past few weeks. I have been adding them on the iPhone app or in classic. Come on Garmin! Although I'll give you a thumbs up for the gear tracker!
hatrick1960, in Classic View, click "Analyze" tab at the top and then click on "Activities". From there you will see all your recent activities listed. Then on the right side you should see a link to add a Manual Activity.

Some are suggesting switching to classic mode by switching on the "head and shoulders" icon in the upper left. Unfortunately, on my version of modern, that option is not available.

Still cannot download manually. When entering details activity type remains highlighted in blue.
When filled in all details I press save and get a Red notice.
Remote access exception, could not access http invoker remote service etc.
Have not been able to download my unit for 4 weeks now, not been able to charge it either, now flat battery, now cannot do it manually?????????????
That works for me using Windows 7 and IE11. What browser are you using?
As for the other 2 issues "cannot download manually" and "not been able to charge," those both should be in separate threads so we can focus on those specific issues.
I am filling in the details for manual loading, it's when I click 'save' that I get the red notice stating it cannot access the invoker remote service?
