I have been having troubles with everything lately. Same message "sync failed", server issue. I still can't seem to get my steps equivalent to miles. Does anyone else have this problem? Meaning when you run a 5k, which is 3.1 miles, should the vivosmart, be smart enough to know this? My miles come in at 1.13. I also have not been able to get fitness pal to load the data into garmin app. Getting extremely frustrated...

Also having the same issues for the past couple days. I have de-installed/re-installed keep getting errors and instructed to try again. My Fitness pal calories won't Sync up - very frustrating. Have cleared cache.

Good to know it's a problem lots of people are having, as I have been for the last several days. I just hope when it's fixed I don't still show no steps for the last several days, since mine will work one minute & my updated #s disappear the next time I try to sync.

I don't get a server error. In fact, it says my sync was successful but the app shows zero while my Vivofit has steps. It's been a problem for the last 2 days. I would think Garmin would replay and let us know what the issue is and ETA on a fix for it. I'm disappointed in Garmin! ! ! they have our e-mail addresses, so minimally, they should e-mail us.

I don't have an error message of any sort, but it won't load the data from the last 2 days - mildly frustrated, and worried that I'm going to lose the data. I only got mine for Xmas, so am a relative novice when working these issues out. Fingers crossed someone knows what's going on!

I had the same problem! Mine was working great, then all of a sudden my data from the last two days won't load. =(

Glad this forum is here, was thinking it was just me having this issue, I was finally able to sync this evening, but Garmin connect says I took only 2,883 steps today and my vivofit, and my legs, say 12,050.

Also, although my step data from yesterday appears in one area, on the Steps report it shows zero for both January 4th and 5th.

Does anyone know how long Vivofit bands retain the data...for once Garmin connect gets itself figured out? Thanks!

Got this for Christmas, and although I like the concept, it's not been smooth sailing at all this first couple weeks

I am still having trouble syncing. It worked once or twice early this morning, but have not been able to sync since then. What's going on, Garmin????
  • This is becoming incredibly frustrating from a MyFitnessPal point of view.

It seems the whole steps calorie calculation was not syncing with MFP for a large part of December, over the whole of Xmas and now in the New Year its broken again just as folks are trying to eat clean and start 2015 with some weight loss. I upgraded to a 920 this Xmas as it would allow me to run and cycle using the same watch I wear for step counting and the gym. Same day I start back logging on MFP and the whole thing crashes again.

    As I said incredibly frustrating.
  • As I've posted elsewhere ...

mfp say they have issues their end, so it's not simply a Garmin issue as mfp has also had problems with other sites. I do know both sides are trying to resolve it. Sometimes you have to be patient ....

While I understand it can be frustrating stress isn't good for your health :)
