Calorie In/Out Dashboard lags by a day now?

I sync Garmin Connect with MyFitnessPal. It has worked fine until recently. Now it seems that the only way for me to sync my exercise with MyFitnessPal is to go into Garmin Connect and click "sync." When I do that, all of my activities/calories from the last time I pushed "sync" up through yesterday sync. It used to just sync automatically in real time whenever I sync'd my Garmin device to Garmin Connect. Further, the Calories In/Out dashboard in Garmin Connect isn't even up to date for what is in the Activities section or the Active Calories report today. For example, the run I did today shows up everywhere except the Calories In/Out dashboard (which shows zero). Tomorrow, I think it will magically update. Unfortunately this doesn't help me manage my diet today. If I manually add the activity to MyFitnessPal today, tomorrow, the activity will be duplicated (assuming I go into Garmin Connect and click sync). Is anyone else experiencing this? I guess the only solution is to just go back to manually updating MyfitnessPal with the activity data in Garmin Connect and not take advantage of the auto sync functionality that used to work just fine. Sort of a PITA.

Sorry if this is a known issue, but trying to do searches in this forum is pretty tough... apparently there are A LOT of issues out there.

I am amazed that there is no "report a bug" link anywhere in the Garmin Connect application. It appears the only recourse you have if you see an issue is to post on this forum and hope someone has found a work around or a solution - which in my limited searches seems pretty fruitless since most threads I read were dead ends from months ago or longer with no solution ever being suggested.

So, I guess I am venting more than expecting a solution here, but if anyone knows how to resolve this, I'd appreciate a reply.

Thanks.

The sticky at the top of this forum addresses it. With the sync being down for days, there is a backlog that both MFP and GC are working through.

Not sure I'm buying that, but we'll see. I think they have other issues.
  • At the moment, calories dashboard isn't available on my homescreen.

After re-reading my last post, it didn't come out the way I intended... Thanks, Jim, for your response, I appreciate it. My only point is that while I get the interface being down and they now have to batch a bunch of history through and it will take time to catch up, I don't understand why the Garmin data is still lagging in the Garmin application by a day. So, I get that I am not seeing my GC activities in MFP. What I don't get is why I can see yesterday's Garmin activity in the GC report frame (without any MFP info, of course) but I don't see today's. Seems like there's something else going on there.

What's really funny is, I just checked MFP, and it is totally up to date (including today's MFP and GC data), but the GC report is still showing zero.

Again, guess we'll see if it just gets resolved through this catch up process, or if there is another problem with this particular dashboard.
