Trying to setup a link from MyFitnessPal to Garmin?

You cant as of 4 January. The Garmin website coughs up the following error when you try:

Error - Page Not Found
For one reason or another (mis-typed URL, faulty referral from another site, out-of-date search engine listing or we simply deleted a file) the page you were after is not here.

The Garmin ecosystem cloud .... a bug for every hour of every day ..
  • I'm getting that when I even just try to open the modern dashboard, and my morning run hasn't synched across to TP either so I'm guessing they have a number of issues going in. Tairiik has successfuly synched my run across to RunKeeper so parts of the site and interfaces are functional.

Thanks for sharing that. As Garmin give no status reports on their systems there is no way to know if such errors are caused by us or Garmin. At least I am not alone.

I have constant issues with Garmin connect and MFP syncing and have had them for weeks ongoing without resolution. If anything it is getting worse.

I'm having same problem when I try to log into the Garmin Connect (modern) dashboard, and it wont sync my recent activity with myfitnesspal. Doesn't seem to be device specific, very frustrating! Any updates when this will be fixed or how to resolve much appreciated.

Having exactly the same issues very disappointed as have only had vivosmart 4 days if things do not improve will be returning and going for an alternative My wife does not have any of these issues with Fitbit!!!

I am in the same boat. I really like the Vivosmart. It is a nice piece of kit and does all I need on my wrist and more. But the Garmin Connect cloud ecosystem behind it is a bug strewn mess that turns using the Vivosmart into a stressful, fix finding, reconfiguring, lost data nightmare.

My old FitBit may have been simple but it did just work seamlessly with MFP.

I plan to return my Vivosmart under warranty also as the ecosystem is clearly unfit for purpose.
  • I'm still getting the error on trying to get the dashboard open, but my run from this morning (which I synched across using the iphone app) has now synched to Training Peaks.

I am having the same problem with my new Vivosmart! The app never Syncs with MFP and I am constantly having to go between Garmin Connect and the Garmin app to try and sync everything with MFP. Tonight it just doesn't seem to want to sync and a server error keeps popping up. Getting a bit annoyed now as I never had any problems with my Fitbit! The app and web version were both super easy to use.

I hear you. I am beyond annoyed. The Garmin ecosystem is a core part of the Garmin service I purchased. That Garmin ecosystem is bug ridden and unfit for purpose. It is causing annoyance and wasted time which I never encountered with FitBit. I regret migrating to Garmin. They may have great hardware but of dear their cloud ecosystem is a bug strewn user experience nightmare.

I am having issues syncing to myfitnesspal as well. I am frustrated as this is how I keep track of my calories in/out and I'd like my workouts to show up to take into account. This is actually a pretty big deal for me and as this is my first garmin product it's leaving a bad taste in my mouth currently :-(
