sorry forgot to add I have a garmin 800
  • The reports page. You can gather data on different activity types for various time periods, including a simple range. You can get there by clicking the menu button (the three horizontal lines on the left side of the Garmin Connect page), then Reports. From that page, click the item at the bottom of the page labelled Progress Summary.
  • Reports (Progress summary) do not work properly any more. It is not possible to filter an activity for a selected time period.
You cannot choose from both scroll-down menus at the same time, i.e. time period and activity type. For example "Last Year" and "Swimming". When you choose a time period, it will immediately calcutate the report for all activities and the choice of activity type is not available any more. When you choose activity type (Swiming) first, it calculates the summary of the activity for a default Last 30 days and you cannot adjust the time period any more.
Will this feature be corrected (as it was in the past)? It does not work in Modern, it does not work in Classic.

I might be missing some functions in Connect, but I use "Goals" for this purpose. I just set up a goal for one year for specific activity, starting on 1 January and ending on 31 December. Your goal distance can be anything you like, but it allows you to track total distance anyway.
