Unable to connect to Garmin services please try again message

Last night and this morning, I keep getting an error message when I try to sync my data from Forerunner 15. It says Unable to connect to Garmin Services. I just got my Garmin and was able to sync data early yesterday afternoon but haven't been able to since then. Any suggestions? Thanks
  • Sounds like either the garmin servers are down (the take them down for maintenance at times), or there is a problem with your computer getting to the Garmin Connect servers over the internet.

    Best thing to do is to just wait a bit and try again

    We both have a Garmin forerunner and have been getting this message when we try to load from both watches since before xmas, Have even tried on my old PC as well as the MAC and the same message appears on both.
  • Could it be that you're running a firewall (either on the PC or in your router) that's blocking the connection?
  • I got the message yesterday that sync had failed due to server error, but when I checked the activity had been uploaded anyway. But today I can't sync my vivofit, so I suspect they're having server problems.

    I got one sync to work late this morning, but both before and after 11am Pacific, sync fails. Glad to hear it's not just me, though!

    got similar message when i try to synch it stops in the middle: "There was a problem communicating with Garmin servers".I have been synching my vivofit for the last two weeks and has been working fine. thanks for your help.
  • Same issue here. Bluetooth synch from my Edge 510 will not work. Don't know if it's the Garmin Connect site or the firmware upgrade for the Edge unit.

    Ditto. I can't upload todays ride from my Edge 510. I've tried 3 different methods of uploading my ride. All fail.

    Vivofit here, not been able to sync all day, hopefully tomorrow will work.

    Same problem here. If this truly is the case though, wouldn't you think a notification could be sent or posted????
