eTrex 30 not showing in Garmin Connect

Can anyone tell me how to add my Etrex 30 to Garmin Connect? I have an Edge 500 and an eTrex 30. Both are connected to Garmin Express but I can only see the Edge 500 in Garmin Connect.

You have to manually import files from the Etrex 30.

I can import the files into basecamp but I was trying to make it work with Garmin Connect. I can't even select the device in that application.

You can't, you have to manually import the files as I said. Go to the Activities widget and select Import.
