Search not working

When I try to search for a named activity I get an error message: There was an internal error while searching for activities.
It's the same whether I search in the modern or classic versions

    Search hasn't worked for me for several days - I hope that Garmin will sort it out now they have fixed the problems with editing activities.

    Me too search on Activities has failed due to an "Internal Error" for many days now.

    The Connect site has generally been pretty flaky all round - lots of effort to make it look "modern" (which was just change for the sake of it as far as I can see) and very little to keep the core functionality actually working! It's sad that such excellent bits of kit have such a poor website associated with them.

    How do we get an acknowledgement from Garmin that they know this isn't working and that they are trying to fix it?

    Search doesn't feature on the new Status page...

    This is getting very frustrating - an important feature that was working fine has STILL not been fixed at least a month after it broke. It is extraordinarily frustrating to have to search through over 400 hike records screen by screen to find the one I need.

    Please Garmin would you fix this bug, or at least give us some indication that you are actively working on it?

    This is shameful. The search property that is absolutely indispensable is not working for more than a month without any response from Garmin...
  • Yep I've had the same problem since Christmas. Has anyone reported it/had any comment back? I've tweeted @garminconnect a screen print of the error message. I've started automatically exporting to Strave because of this problem but still can't look at old routes.

    I would like to let you know that we have a case open for this issue that we are working on as fast as we can. I went ahead and have added you and your suggestion to this case and you will be notified when this issue is resolved. As of now there is no estimated time when this issue will be resolved, however we are working as fast as possible to have this issue resolved, I appreciate your patience.


    Three weeks later I have heard nothing more. I find it quite astonishing that a bug fix (on something that worked reasonably well from inception) can take months to happen. This isn't a new feature development, it's just mending something that someone broke!

    For what it's worth, my suggestion referred to above was to allow spaces within search strings since place names here in Hong Kong tend to be combinations of very common words. For example I might want to find activities with "Tai Long Wan" in the title as a place name but searching on any of the 3 individual words, which was all that was allowed, previously throws up many results rather than just the specific one or two I am looking for.

    But of course I'd be happy to forgo that enhancement just to get the basic functionality back!
