calories from GC not reflected on Vivofit

I finally got the calories from My Fitness Pal to sync into my Garmin Connect! But, the calories in Garmin Connect aren't the same as what's shown on the Vivofit. Do these not sync with each other? If not, what are the calories shown on the Vivofit exactly?
