gear tracking feature

Hi,
I haven't found starting value of km on my equip when creating new gear used for exercises.
For example I have many shoes trainers/racers that have some mileage on already but when creating new gear it isn't allowing me to add starting value, which in fact devalves the value of the feature in GC. Any chance to add the starting mileage on the gear?

Isn't that the same as substracting the starting value from the expected max distance?

I agree most of us already have gear with a milage and need to have the opportunity to add a start value for the gear.

Substract from max distance isn´t good enough.

I also added Gear to my dashboard - selected the feature to 'add' the gear to activities since the start date - only to find that '0' mileage has accrued. When I go to the activities, I can see the mileage, but this is not included in the Gear Widget

There seems to be a bug in connect at the moment. I've added shoes 2 weeks ago. This worked just fine, but when I add the kilometers manually, I get a different number. Today I added a bike and it doesn't count any kilometers at all.

I would also like to have gear added as an optional column in the activities overview. This way I could do a quick edit and assign activities to specific gear/shoes. This is helpful for those of us who rotate multiple pairs of shoes, since I can't just auto-add every run to my shoes.

I've just experienced the same issue as DanielVW. I added shoes and opted to apply to all activities since July. The widget still shows 0 out of xxx miles. Must be a bug. Hopefully Garmin will fix soon. Not that critical, but it would be a useful feature if it worked.
