Got the attached email this AM when trying to log in? What does it mean?

Once I log in I get this gibberish:

/O error on GET request for "connectapi.garmin.com/.../bottleofpills":Connection reset; nested exception is java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

It seems like this has happened in the past from searching the forums... but it seems like if it's an internal error, there would be more info about it and how it's typically resolved on Garmin's end?

Is this normal? No FAQ about it?

I guess there's some comfort in knowing it's not just me.. lol
  • I was able to log in for maybe 2 minutes, about 30 minutes ago. Now I get the same error message as well.

Based on the stack trace, it looks like they're having trouble with their OAuth authentication/login process.

Then at the very least put something on the main page or in the forum indicating as such.

    Jeez o Peetz
  • Err ... read my signature ... I'm not employed by Garmin. I'm just confirming that it's down.

    Edit: It's now back up.

@SUSSAMB - first thanks for taking the time to reply, your work is obviously appreciated by me and many others.

However and I hate to sound like a Jackass... but when you have "moderator" listed under your ID, well that indicates that you have some sort of official capacity associated with Garmin and Garmin Connect whether officially employed or not.

Much like a volunteer little league coach... you're the face of Garmin when you volunteered to be a moderator.

    "assuming" you did indeed volunteer.

Again, my frustration isn't with you and is more simply with the lack of information if there is indeed an issue with the site, and because the "support page" sends most of the traffic to the forums... well I think the picture is pretty obvious.

Please relay that back to the organization for which you represent.

Again I do want to reiterate that your work is appreciated by myself and others.

Sorry to disappoint you but I have no link whatsoever into the Garmin Connect team, in that respect I'm a simple user like yourself. This forum, unlike some other forums on the site, is more a user-to-user forum.
