Garmin Connect Gear problem

Hi,

I have problem with adding shoes to my activities.

I managed to add shoes to my profile. But when I want to add shoes to my activity it shows a message - No gear available.

How to solve this problem?

I have the same problem with bicycles. I have added my bicycles in my profile but I am not able to link a bicycle to any of my cycling-activities.

EDIT: probably due to a stupid limitation in Garmin Connect: when you add gear on a certain date you can not link that gear to any activities that took place before the registration date. This should be resolved so that we can go back in history and update activities with the right gear.

I have the same problem, seems like it is impossible to edit the date of first use... I cannot think of a good reason for this limitation.
So it is impossible to link the gear to previous activities... NO GOOD!

workaround

The way I found to get around this is to use the app on my phone to add the gear.
