After loading the workouts page, opening a workout and clicking on "Send to device" nothing happens.

Browser developer tools console looks like this:

I am having same issue. Garmin Express otherwise works--downloaded my activity today & synced with Strava, Training Peaks etc.

Really frustrating as I can never remember to exactly execute my coaching plan without it.

I am having exact same problem, this has always worked, but as from today, when I click on send to device, it opens up the 'send to device' window, but it just remeins blank. I have tried on 2 different PC's using IE and Chrome, but exact same issue.

My post below. Is this a GC issue then?

OK, so Thursday night the Garmin Connect website seemed to have completely crashed. It was back up and running last night however I have been trying unsuccesfully for the past 12 hours to send a workout I created to my Edge 800.
What happens is that I click send to device, the send to device blue box opens however there is no text or information in it. It just hangs there & needless to say the workout does not end up on my device. I have tried both Safari & Chrome on my Macbook & neither works.

As far as I can see Garmin Express is connected to my 800 (I even removed & added it back again to see if that would help). The 800 itself it accepting data--I was able to drag and drop a GPX file from Strava into it and the course showed up on the unit as usual.

Anyone else experience this & have a fix?
  • I had this problem several times, and found two possible issues:

    1. Depending on your device, you have to use Garmin Ant Agent, since obviously Garmin Express cannot transfer workouts to certain devices. FR 610 for example.

    2. Make sure the name of the workout is not too long and does not contain any special characters. I advise sticking to letters and numbers.

    Having the exact same issue.
    Using Ant Agent.
The names of the workouts aren't too long.
Some computers work, but others (e.g. my main one) do not.
    Help?!
  • I have started to have this issue one or two weeks ago on my Forerunner 610 with Garmin Express on Windows Vista.

I have gone through the standard procedure without success:

    1) Updated Garmin Express to latest version (3.2.26.0).
    2) Deleted my device in Garmin Express, rebooted the PC and re-added it.
    3) Performed a master reset on my Forerunner 610.
    4) Tried latest versions of different browsers (Opera, Firefox, IE).
    5) Tried from the Workouts page of both Garmin Connect Classic and Mordern.

One thing that has worked for me today is the following:

Use "Send to device" on the Workouts widget of the Modern view's dashboard. On the main Workouts page it keeps not working, both in Classic and Modern, but the widget seems to do its job. Give it a try.

    Regards,

That indeed works! I have so many workouts & the way they are organised on that page is a mess. However, indeed I have a work around.

So evidently the issue lies with Garmin connect.

I wrote to Garmin support & the guy Stephen just replied with a copy paste of how to upload my activities...... That wasn't even what I asked help with!
  • I have the same problem with my Fenix 2. When I want to send workout on my device... nothing happens. :(
