Vivofit not syncing activities

I've seen this posted a number of times but it's still not consistently working. I just did an hour and a half workout with the HR strap on, it was counting heartrate, but it will not upload to Garmin Connect. What gives? When will this be fixed so it works consistently? It's happening way too often, and I see so many others complaining. If the sync doesn't work, what is the point of this product?
