GPX Activities uploaded no longer have length/distance

Since the Garmin Connect website downtime yesterday (12/19/14), GPX file uploaded as activities no longer interpret the correct mileage length, or associated calculations. Time and elevation appear to be known, but not distance.

Anyone else see this?

Yes, I do. Have spent hours trying to figure out what's going on. Any solution to this?

To be more specific -

here is what works:

heartrate, time, track shows up accurately on map

here is what does NOT work:

distance (avg speed, max speed), speed, elevation gain

Garmin, what's going on? I've stated this before and I'll state it again. No big deal if you've got a problem, but TALK TO YOUR USERS. Don't make us spend hours wondering if it's something we did wrong. Just post a clear message with the problem so we can move on!

Same problem.

Works fine on Strava, etc.

That's what I see also except I have elevation statistics. I can *edit* the distance of the track and the avg speed gets calculated for the whole trip, but the pace is flat and the max speed is the same as the avg speed. The GPX original file is from an Oregon 550, same as all days preceding yesterday which worked just fine.

I see what it is now. When I look at my green elevation plot and select 'over distance', the mileage shows up incorrectly at the bottom of the graphic. What should be 1 mile shows as 0.001 miles. That's why my 3.8 mile hike this morning shows as 0.0 miles, it's being interpreted as 0.0038 miles, and I must have walked it incredibly slow.

This is confirmed by uploading a nuvi GPX track of 26.1 miles, which shows as 0.03 miles. They're somehow 3 decimal places off on the distance. Maybe they will fix this soon.

Distance and Speeds are shown wrongly but elevations looks ok.

Don't know whether it is downtime issue or because during last hours I have changed language and metric system many times?

I seem to see the same thing with tracks i upload from Oregon 450 to Garmin Connect.
It now shows a location for activity name (.e.g Peterborough North - Uncategorised) as opposed to "Untitled" and track length and speed are 0.0.
Other data (time, heart rate, elevation, temp) seem to be ok.

Hope Garmin can reply about status of the issue and fix it soon

Same here, same gpx file works fine on Strava. Just filled a support request, maybe someone from Garmin will have a look as Christmas gift.

Makes me wonder why Garmin in so bad in communicating/supporting the Garmin Connect. :(

Same problem. I am using Map62s and hiked 16.5km and it shows up as 0.02 km. Overall time looks good...but distance way off.

Same issue here for 3 rides over the weekend. Garmin Oregon 300. Strava (via the garmin synch) has the correct distance, speed etc.
