Soft Heart Strap Crease

My soft heart strap for my Garmin 220 has developed an annoying crease. It's bother some to where now. I would like to purchase a replacement or something else that is compatible. Can someone tell me the correct way to size the strap so I dont over stretch it again and cause another annoying crease. Garmin why did you make such a complicated adjustment for the strap? Sheesh.
