Garmin Connect Bug: Average 20 minute power shows MAX power instead

(Thought this would have been a duplicate but can't find other posts - apologies if it is)

Garmin Connect 20 minute average shows max power for the session, not the average.

Either that or I am going to sign up for TdF 2015 since I apparently have an FTP of 895 (average 20 minutes of 943 watt during Hunter Allen FTP test).

Recorded during Garmin 705, Stages and turbo sessions. Must be a recent Connect update since my old FTP was correct but now shows wrong number as well.

    Still a bug.

I am well please to see the new gear addition (just lacking summaries), as well the auto named runs, but without the vital statistics it renders Connect as a fairly useless tool. The algorithm for FTP (or more precisely, "20 minute average" from which FTP can be calculated) used to work so hopefully it can be reinstated asap, especially since winter turbo training is heavily reliant on FTP as a tool for planning session intensities. It's a bad time of year to remove it.

Please don't tell me I need to export 6 years of data and look to upload it elsewhere?

    Weekly check - still incorrect.

    Aaaaand... still bugged.

No FTP basically renders any training plan useless. It's a base statistic to which effort and training should be measured against. Get the base fixed first, then look at the pretty things?

    Weekly update:
    - My October test for 20 min average now shows correctly
    - My December test for 20 min average simply doesn't show
    - Personal records still show max power instead of 20 min average

First positive result since I logged this. I might even run another test and see if GC is just running a backlog of data processing.

Did FTP test last night on turbo and no 20 minute max - only getting average for whole ride and max power.

As much as I like GC, without the basic stats it's pretty but functionally useless so I'll have to look around.

Strava, TrainerRoad, Xhale, Golden Cheetah, Training Peaks... we'll see.

Update: I've now clarified that the 705 does not gather 20 min averages on the fly, and that Garmin Connect does not calculate this server-side. Connecting with TrainingPeaks however and I get all the stats I need (IF, NP, 20 min max, etc). Obviously possible to calculate so something to consider doing (or is this a business decision to force people to buy higher end devices?).

The problem with max power showing as 20 min average still persists. When I assign a new "Max average power (20 min )" PR it assigns the max power from the ride instead. This should be a fairly simple bug to fix.

As I have now switched to TrainingPeaks instead I'll leave this as a recommendation for Garmin Connect development with no further updates.
