When I export a course from Garmin Connect to my Edge 705 using Garmin Express (Mac), the generated .tcx file is unusually large (50% larger than files exported via Endomondo, for example), and does not work on my device.
Besides the fact that the filename is very long and has a GUID in it, whereas Garmin Training Center always generated files following the 8.3 convention, the resulting course does not work on the device.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there some kind of workaround?
If I export the same workout via Endomondo and the Garmin plugin everything works as supposed.
