910 multisport files not uploading

Hello

I am needing some assistance in understanding why my garmin 910 will not upload or record multisport acitivities correctly. I recently did an ironman and the file would not upload so i ran it through the file repair and it uploaded but with the last part of the bike missing and no 42.2k run ? It also did this a month earlier at a 70.3 race. I have attached the file.

hi Jeni,

Fit File Repair Tool reported that your session ended abruptly as can be seen in this pic and that data records at the end of the recording are probably missing.

I've seen this on a number of occasions when people have pressed the stop button and then powered down their unit (or just simply, because they are using Auto Pause, powered their unit down or allowed it to auto-shutdown), instead of pressing stop, followed by pressing and holding the lap/reset button for 5secs which ensures that all the data values are properly recorded to the .fit file and then powering down their unit. The Event Log from the .fit file supports this as there is no 'Stop All' command recorded at the end of the file as can be seen in this pic. If you did that then sorry but I am not sure what has happened.

Thanks Mike. I have been using Garmin for a very long time (310 before the 910) and I always hit stop and then press the reset/lap for the three second count etc and I have never have any issues until the last two multi sport events. I even have the picture of me running through the finish line at IMWA stopping the bloody thing !! I dont use auto pause at all. So there is obviously an issue so I will re-set the whole unit and test it as I would prefer this does not happen again. I never had any issues with the 310.
