Run start time issue upon upload from FR620 to GC

Starting this week (Dec 2 specifically), there has been an inconsistency with the start time of runs that are automatically uploaded from the FR620 to Garmin Connect. My watch is set to automatically set time from GPS and the time on my watch is correct. My time zone in GC is set to the correct zone (US Eastern) as well. When I upload (usually via WiFi), the start time for my run is set to 5 hours earlier than the actual start time on GC. So, today I started a run at 10:05AM, GC had my start time as 5:05AM. Interestingly, I have automatic sync set up with Strava from GC and the start time was correct on Strava. I also use Tapiirik to sync GC with RunKeeper and, funny thing, the start time for the synced run was the incorrect 5:05AM but the end time was the correct 11:15AM, so that RunKeeper treated my run duration as 6 hrs 10 min (instead of 1 hr 10 min). When I look at the activities on my watch, the run shows the correct start time of 10:05AM. I can manually correct the start time on GC. Anyone else see this issue or anything like it?

Contacted Garmin support on the 21st Dec with a description of the problem. Over 3 weeks later and still no response (even though they say they'll get back to you within 3 business days). Just sent another support request. Not good enough Garmin.

Note, i've discovered that activities post with the correct time and date if i upload directly through my computer (Garmin Express). The date/time issues (+11 hours for me) only appear if i upload through the Connect iPhone app.

Not sure what other's experiences are or if you've found a solution. I was hoping they'd have fixed this by now.

Same issue here in Melbourne. I noticed this morning I uploaded a run through my iPhone, and the time was correct on GC on the Internet GC modern version. Then I edited the run on my GC app on my iPhone, putting in a title and notes, then when I went back to the Internet GC modern version and the time has changed, it now said I have already run tonight (11 hours into the future).

    Cmon Garmin!!!! Fix please.

Contacted them a second time over a week go and still no response. Their customer service is falling apart. Bad time for that to happen given the competition.

    Get your act together Garmin.

Ditto for me and my husband (Melbourne) - activities are uploaded to 11hrs ahead for the last few weeks both for my Edge 510 and my Vivofit activities (when I use my HRM for working out). Getting annoying, coz it stuffs up excercise kj adjustment it sends to My Fitness Pal... Keep having to edit the times.
  • Having the same issues here with a Fenix 2. Shows up in Strava ok, but in connect is -6 hours.
  • I am having the same issue with Fenix 2. Most activities show as 6 hours earlier (I am in Central Time). But a run I did on Monday (at 10am) showed as being on Sunday at 4pm. If I look at the activity history and details on the Fenix 2 it shows activities as one hour ahead. This may have been happening for a while but I only noticed it when an activity showed on the wrong day.
  • I am having the same issue with the Fenix2 as well. The correct time sync works with running with gps. All my other activities will sync but seem to end up in the wrong time zone.

i think it happens when I am using a custom outdoor setting when paddling open water or indoor setting to monitor my heart rate.

Has anyone had the same inconsistency in wrong start times?

I received an email from Garmin yesterday asking for more information. I've replied and am waiting to see what they say.

My activities upload perfectly from my Forerunner 620 to Garmin Connect via Bluetooth or wifi. The start time issue only appears to occur after I've uploaded the activity and then EDIT the run using the Garmin Connect app on both my iPhone and iPad. As soon as I edit it, the start time jumps forward 11 hours.
