Starting this week (Dec 2 specifically), there has been an inconsistency with the start time of runs that are automatically uploaded from the FR620 to Garmin Connect. My watch is set to automatically set time from GPS and the time on my watch is correct. My time zone in GC is set to the correct zone (US Eastern) as well. When I upload (usually via WiFi), the start time for my run is set to 5 hours earlier than the actual start time on GC. So, today I started a run at 10:05AM, GC had my start time as 5:05AM. Interestingly, I have automatic sync set up with Strava from GC and the start time was correct on Strava. I also use Tapiirik to sync GC with RunKeeper and, funny thing, the start time for the synced run was the incorrect 5:05AM but the end time was the correct 11:15AM, so that RunKeeper treated my run duration as 6 hrs 10 min (instead of 1 hr 10 min). When I look at the activities on my watch, the run shows the correct start time of 10:05AM. I can manually correct the start time on GC. Anyone else see this issue or anything like it?
Set your timezone to "GMT" in garmin connect. Though the note below the timezone setting seems to imply that the timezone you put in only applies to uploads from non-gps devices, it has always as far back as I know screwed up the time when uploading from a gps device.
I'm in the Central timezone and my uploads from GPS devices have the correct local time with my GC timezone setting at "GMT".
Same problem for me too, only just start a few days ago. I'm in Melbourne Australia so my runs aren't even appearing on the correct day now (depending if i run in the morning or evening).
I would say there are issues at their backend which will hopefully get fixed. I might try the "set to GMT" solution voiceresponce posted above, but as this has just started i'd say Garmim will sort it out eventually.
Others, please let us know what has worked for you.
I set my time to GMT in Garmin Connect but this did not resolve things. I started a run at 7:09am today, GC had the start time as 2:09 and Strava had it at 7:09. I assume that since Strava receives the FIT file from Garmin, it parses the correct date and time, which seems to imply something is wrong on the Garmin side.
Same problem as described in this thread.
Hoping for a fix.
Mine is with my 920XT.
For now, I'll just continue to impress my friends with my 2 am swims (I'm EST).

I think I am on to something.
I am using the "Modern" version of GC. I am having issues.
My brother is using the "Classic" version of GC ...... no issues for him.
Garmin- if you want to push us to the Modern version, it's gotta work man!
C'Mon!!!!!
Yes, this seems to be a software issue. I'm EST and getting my workouts to show up on Garmin Connect as 5 hours earlier than they actually happened. But, when uploading the same files from my FR620 to Strava or parsing the FIT files on my own, the timestamp shows correctly. C'mon Garmin, a fix please?
Why not call Garmin Support. This is just a user forum, so if we can't solve your issue, then you should call the ones that should be able to fix it. It appears that only a few are having this issue so they may not be aware of it.
