How to share workouts between GC users ?

Former Member

Hi,

I have many workouts within my Garmin Connect (GC). I would like to share them with a friend of mine, so that he can have them in his GC too.
(this would remove him the huge burden of creating these workouts from scratch in GC.)

Is there a way to do that? If yes how?

Typically, I'm expecting something like:
- exporting my workout in a file (either with GC or with Garmin Express);
- sending the file to my friend via email;
- telling my friend how to import this file in "his" GC environment "cloned" workout.
But I can't figure out if it's feasible or not.

Cheers,
Xavier

    Hi Xavier,

    I've search the FAQ (without much luck) and ended up here looking for an answer on the same topic.
    Did you have any success?

    Regards, Jason.
  • Can you not do it by creating a connection to the friend?

    I have a vivosmart and a vivofit and I have 2 accounts - one for each.

    I then created a connection and I can see the results of both units in my connections widget.

    Hello,

    No I haven't find any nice solution. The only bad solution I found was to share my Garmin credentials (i.e. email address and password) with my friend. I first told him to delete all the activities saved on his Garmin (910xt) device. He then opened my Garmin Connect page (thanks to my credentials) and was able to push my workouts on his Garmin device. Although he could successfully run "my" workouts on his device, it was not possible to upload these workouts from his device to his Garmin Connect page.

    Cheers,
    Xavier
