Connecting Virb to Garmin connect to use livetrack

As per the title, I have a virb elite, an edge 800 and an android phone with connect app. Is it possible to use the livetrack feature with this set up as at the moment I don't seem able to register the virb onto garmin connect (via the laptop)?
