Greetings folks... quick question... (I hope)...

Want to confirm the correct way to install a SanDisk microSD card into a Nuvi 3597LM. Checking youtube, I noted that on a different model of Garmin, you insert the card into the slot with the gold connectors facing up (as you are looking directly down on at the face of the GPS).

I assume the Nuvi 3597LM is different... the only way I can insert the card is with the gold connectors facing 'down'.

Problem is... I don't seem to find a way to verify that the card is being 'recognized'. Garmin Express on the 'device' tab does not show the card. Is there a way of checking on the GPS itself?

Brand new at this... can someone give me a good step-by-step procedure for troubleshooting this?
