Poor GPS Data with Garmin 800

hello,

overall I am very content with the garmin 800 that I purchased. I rode a 20min climb today with my road bike and it is on a paved road that goes through wooded parts. I suspect that the trees interfere with the GPS signal. Is there any way to clean the data so it doesn't look like I took my road bike through the woods in the most erratic MTB riding style? I would like to create a segment and the start and end points are clearly not hidden by any trees but the GPS error data makes this impossible.

I appreciate any feedback to fix this problem.
