Dear Forum readers,
My second Garmin fenix, just died few months after its warranty was over...
It happened without any reason, there is no single scratch on the watch !
My first Garmin died after few months, and it was replaced by the second one, which broke by itself.
The only option I have now is to pay almost 200$ (flat repair cost + shipping).
For as good and as expensive watch I would expect proper working for at least 10 years.
I am sure that Garmin fenix must have some hidden failure.
Most likely it is related to battery.
So THINK TWICE before you buy it !
Here short description of the problem:
Garmin fenix does not switch on properly just a random "things" are blinking on the screen. After I connect it to the laptop or to the charger it starts to work for some time but after a while it switch off / freezes again. It happened suddenly without any reason. I bought my fenix in USA but now I live in Poland. It is my second Garmin fenix first one had some failure and it was replaced. It had worked fine for couple of months but then it "died". I got new one (I am not sure about exact date but close to one year ago maybe little more). The new one just suddenly and without any reason "died" as well (there is no single scratch on it !). In my opinion there must have been some hidden failure in the watch or even in the whole series... What can I do now ? Can I have it fix or replaced ? I have to admit that it is very disappointing that such watch (expensive and for activity as hiking/cycling) is such extremely unreliable...
Best and good luck on the trails ! ;)
