Security of your house through GPS Track

Is it possible to have the feature (like Strava has) to have an area around your private home address that is 'blurred'.
Or not visible for strangers to see?

It might lead to people who have a low privacy settings, to become victims of burglary.

Kind Regards,

Tom
  • There's already a big thread on this - but security doesn't seem to be a Garmin priority
  • I'm sure security is a consideration, but really, how much of an issue is this?
  • Not huge but a simple solution already implemented by Strava. If you wonder about Garmin's commitment to security then you only have to look at their seeming inability to focus on the issue whereby users can get logged into someone else's account and see all their activities - that issue has been around for at least a year

As JS said it's not a huge problem, however I'm not going to share my data (outside of friends / groups) or partake in Garmins segments until a solution is implemented. Not joining in with segments isn't much of an issue near me either, as so few have been created. Whereas it's difficult to travel 1/2 mile without crossing a Strava segment.... To my mind the lack of privacy is self defeating for Garmin.
