Express says that activity sync is complete, but its missiing from Garmin Connect

Hi,

I have a Garmin 310xt.

Tried to upload some data today using Express and Express says that the sync is complete and the data can be viewed at Garmin Connect.
But -- it appears the data is not on Garmin Connect.

The Activity still exists on the 310xt.

What can I do to get the data uploaded to Connect?

    Hi,

    Recently I had the same issue with my FR610, Express sync completed but no upload to GC.

    In my case I had some issues with the FIT file of my activity, it seemed that it had stored two FIT files on my device, but only one contained data the other one was empty. So I searched the correct FIT file on my PC (Express do store the files localy on the machine, forget the exact folder hirarchy) and did upload the FIT file manualy into GC.

  • Thanks for the advice....but i can't seem for locate any files with a ".FIT" extension. I'm running Windows 7.

    Same problem here with a 705. Data is there, its in the history folder and can be viewed via the manual reloading but does not appear on Connect. been a couple of days as well.

    Very annoying issue! As reported earlier, I managed once to find the correct file on my PC (deleted the corrupt empty one) and did manual upload into GC, but yesterday I had only one file (the empty one) on my PC. So after express finished "succesfully" the upload there was nothing in GC. I searched the file localy on my PC but could only find one empty (1kb) file with the timestamp, so my workaraound with manual upload was not possible.

    The activity was still on my forerunner 610, but Express did not upload it anymore, as I guess it already marked the activity as uploaded, even it was corrupt with only 1kb of size...

    I really tried quit alot to solve this issue, but to be honest I have no clue what really solved the issue at the end (I was able to upload the activity after hours of trial and error)

    Turned off/on several times my forerunner
    removed ANT Stick several times and rebooted PC
    I did delet the "corrupt" activity on my PC.
    Tried old Garmin Connect Interface, Training Center and Strava for upload
    removed Device from Express and reinserted/paired again
    deleted old activities from forerunner
    pushed the missing activity from my forerunner to upload
    ...

    As written before I was almost going mad, but suddenly express did start to correctly sync the missing activity. I really hope there is soon a proper solution for this sporadic issue.

    I share Your pain, I'm also stuck in garmin hell...

    After five days of trying to get things out of my pulse watch I also got the slightly insane message of "sync complete" with absolutely NOTHING being uploaded to garmin connect.

    The way I managed to get out of this particular circle of hell was some sort of re-trigger for sending activities on my 310XT. I found this menu item: History -> Transfer All
    Then I went back to the garmin express bugfest and requested new syncs and it began to transfer and upload activities again. Including all the items that were already transferred to the computer, so it might take a while. For me it took six hours, 2 computers and countless restarts, but in the end I got there...
