Trouble up loading 610 data

I don't know why I have all of these activities (28) listed on Nov 2nd on my 610. Garmin Connect is hung up on them and won't transfer any data. Is there any way to delete these 'bad' files and upload the good data? Thx

  • I'd post this question in the appropriate Garmin Express forum. There are Garmin support people responding to questions over there.

Assuming the activity is still on the 610 and doesn't show up as many individual activities, I'd remove the device from Garmin Express...

    • Start Garmin Express
    • Select the problem device from the drop-down on the left.
    • Click the Device link on the right.
    • Click the Delete Device from Garmin Express link next to the image of the device.
    • Choose Keep in Garmin Connect.
    • Click Confirm.

Then I'd move/backup all of the data left behind for the device...

    • Close Garmin Express
    • Kill the tray icon in Windows (right click it and choose Quit)
    • Locate the Garmin Express data folder for the problem device (C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Garmin Connect\Forerunner 610-XXXXXXXXXX on my Windows 8.1 PC), and rename it.
    • Locate the LegacyProxy data folder for the problem device (C:\ProgramData\Garmin\LegacyProxy\XXXXXXXXXX on my Windows 8.1 PC), and rename it.

Finally, I'd re-pair the device with Garmin Express...

    • On the 610, press and hold multiple blue lines to access the menu
    • Touch Setup > System > Data Transfer.
    • Enable Initial Pairing.
    • Start Garmin Express.
    • In Garmin Express, select Add New Device.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the device.

    Travis
  • Travis,

I tried all of this but Express will not transfer any data, still stuck
  • was able to get rid of 'multiples' but still hanging up on 11/2/2014 data 11/2/2014 data isn't even on my 610. All other files are valid.
  • If you can, let the device do what it thinks it needs to do. If that doesn't work, then you might need to do a factory reset.
