Garmin Connect to Garmin Data Transfer?

Hi Everyone,

I got a Forerunner 220 a few months back and have loved it every step of the way! I did have one question that I could not find on the FAQ site that I was hoping you guys could help me with.

I understand that you can sync activities from your Garmin to the Garmin connect site, but I was wondering if you can do the reverse. For races, I like to take my Garmin off and race without any distractions, so I manually enter these races afterwards into Garmin Connect. Once I do this, is it possible to download these activities onto my Garmin?

Thanks everyone!

  • What would be the purpose? If it's just to correct the odometer setting or such, then there might be other ways. Otherwise you are just using memory on your device that will one day bite you when you do the best and most important run of your life and your device doesn't have enough memory left to record it properly.

I move all but the last few activities to my computer for safekeeping. I expect you could also export the manual activity from GC to save on your computer, but I'm iffy about putting it back on the device. Never thought about it before and certainly never tried.
  • But to answer the question, no you can't. It's a one-way process for activities that you do using your device.
