TCX exports not working?

On my workouts I have been attempting to extract TCX files, but I am getting a null response. GPX export is working fine.

e.g. "The web page at http://connect.garmin.com/proxy/activity-service-1.1/tcx/activity/6xxxxxxxx?full=true might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address."

I've dropped the activity reference for privacy purposes.

Is it just me?

The workouts are uploaded from source data gathered from Sports-Tracker, then uploaded into Connect for pushing to services like Strava etc.

    It was a GPX file.
  • Then that is the problem. Garmin Connect doesn't synthesize TCX or FIT data when you upload a GPX, and it doesn't create FIT data when you upload a TCX. When you upload a FIT file, Garmin Connect will automatically generate TCX and GPX data for you. If you upload a TCX, it will generate a GPX, and if you upload a GPX, no additional file types are generated.

    OK. That's a peculiar design for a database storage, never seen that before in all of the web-apps that I have uploaded GPX files to, but at least it is an explanation of what is happening.
